If you want to hit the beach, Rockport Beach is around here, and why not camp at Taylor Oak RV and Trailer Park if you're here at Long Lake. Long Lake is a good site of common precipitation; September is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is March. This lake is so wonderful. Rockport-Days Inn is a perfect location to get some rest, and if you're here you must stop at Allyns Bight. During the warm       months here at Long Lake, high temperatures typically reach the 90's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 70's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 60's, and night lows at Long Lake through the winter mostly drop into the 40's. On a pleasant day it's a glorious idea to spend the day at Quarantine Shore, and camping is available at Palo Alto RV Park. You just must love Long Lake. Hiking along the Mustang Island State Park Trail                  is splendid fun, and Salt Lake is a nearby lake that you could explore. If you need a site to stay Holiday Inn Express Rockport (On The Bay), Tx is a great choice, and while you're here, you could also go to pretty Canoe Lake.
