Many people like to go to Little Mac Lake. Big Mac Lake is a great lake near Little Mac Lake; Wiess Bluff is something you shouldn't miss since you're here. A good nearby hotel is Days Inn Beaumont, and if time allows, Big Thicket National Preserve is a national park worth stopping at. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Tyrell Park Trail is magnificent fun.

good spot to visit for more than one day, Village Creek State Park is a good spot to camp nearby, and do take a hike on the Roy E Larsen Sandyland Sanctuary Trail.
Little Mac Lake regularly gets much rainfall; through June this
area sees the most rain while April is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. Bellrose Slough is an attention-grabbing swamp right next door to Little Mac Lake, and since you're here you will
meet lots of folks from nearby Beaumont-Port Arthur. If you need a location to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites BEAUMONT NW is a wonderful choice. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Little Mac Lake has to offer, you can camp at Red Cloud Recreational Vehicle Park.
