There's some exciting stuff to catch a glimpse of at Laurent Lake Dam near Laurent Lake, and there's good hiking along the Mercy Trail. Park Trail, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Mill Ridge Golf Club is in the vicinity. This lake is so wonderful. Laurent Lake is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, 3278 Campgrounds and Marina is
a delightful local campground, and dry warm beds await you at Hampton Inn Livingston.
The high level of rainfall makes Laurent Lake a rather wet place; the wettest month of the year is frequently May, that's the one that rains the most; the driest of the months is July.

| I remember living about 3 or 4 dirt roads past the lake coming from the main entrance (somewhere between Elsie's Alley and Rene Ln) when I was a kid (1978-1979), and the place looked nasty back then, as I believe it was a slow development. Mostly cheap mobile homes, dirt roads and dangerous living, I could't go outside much with all of the snakes that were running loose within easy sight on a DAILY basis. I wouldn't mids driving through to see what has since become of it, but my memory is remembers this place vividly, and not in a good way.... |

Nice campground. However I would hold off until all construction has been completed. Great prices and nice scenery. One problem was that probably due to construction the ants were out in force. Once completed it will be one of the nicest parks on the north side of the lake.......
