     Lane Lake Dam is worth checking out since you're here; not far from Lane Lake you'll discover Tedrow Lake which is a stunning lake. Lane Lake is a good location of normal precipitation; through May this area sees the most rain; January is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. There's glorious hiking along the Elm Fork Greenbelt Trail, and if you need a location to stay Valley View Inn and Suites is a wonderful choice.
If you came for an overnight
 
   stay Indian Village Campground is a fine site to camp, and don't leave Lane Lake without first going for a hike along the North Lakes Park Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Wagon Master RV Park is a great campground nearby, and perfect hiking is available along the Ray Roberts Greenbelt Corridor Trail. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable things at Lane Lake. A tremendous close by hotel is Value Place Denton, and there's some flowing water  
               close by, Ranger Branch is a stream you can explore during your stay.
During the days of summer highs here at Lane Lake reach the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 70's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 50's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Lane Lake temperatures descend to the 20's. You'll meet a lot of folks from Gainesville here. Lakes are nice; Paddock Lake is a lake that's in close proximity to Lane Lake.
