    If you are in Denton county it's always a good idea to stop by Lane Lake. While you're here at Lane Lake you will meet lots of folks from close by Gainesville; dry warm beds await you at Value Place Denton. Ranger Branch is a delightful stream that is worth a visit; since you're here, you could also stop at stunning Tedrow Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Lane Lake Dam is worth visiting if you're here, and Valley View Inn and Suites is a fine spot to get some rest.
 
   This lake is so wonderful. There's brilliant hiking along the Elm Fork Greenbelt Trail; don't leave Lane Lake without first going for a hike along the Ray Roberts Greenbelt Corridor Trail. Do check out Paddock Lake near Lane Lake, it's a scenic lake, and why not camp at Wagon Master RV Park while you're here at Lane Lake.
You just can't picture the amount of outdoors entertaining things the area close to Lane Lake has to offer. Go for a hike on the North
 
               Lakes Park Trail, and a good location to camp here at Lane Lake is Indian Village Campground. High temperatures at Lane Lake during the summertime are in the 90's; all through summer nights temperatures are in the 70's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 50's, and nighttime lows at Lane Lake all through the wintertime regularly sink into the 20's. The annual precipitation here at Lane Lake is about average; most of the rain falls during May; the driest month is January.
