There is a perfect hiking trail near Lakeside Village Estates Lake called the Mercy Trail, and a splendid close by hotel is Americas Best Value Inn - Livingston TX. This lake is so wonderful. All the water falling down from the sky makes Lakeside Village Estates Lake a wet site; the month with most of the rain is May; July is when it's the driest. Mill Ridge Golf Club is a golf course right next door to Lakeside Village Estates Lake, and after a long day outdoors

it's right next door to Lakeside Village Estates Lake, and if you've had enough of Lakeside Village Estates Lake, Henderson Lake is nearby. If the weather is brilliant here at Lakeside Village Estates Lake, you can go for a hike along the Lake Livingston State Park Trail, and the scenery at Lakeside Village Estates Lake Dam is picturesque.

I remember living about 3 or 4 dirt roads past the lake coming from the main entrance (somewhere between Elsie's Alley and Rene Ln) when I was a kid (1978-1979), and the place looked nasty back then, as I believe it was a slow development. Mostly cheap mobile homes, dirt roads and dangerous living, I could't go outside much with all of the snakes that were running loose within easy sight on a DAILY basis. I wouldn't mids driving through to see what has since become of it, but my memory is remembers this place vividly, and not in a good way.... |

Nice campground. However I would hold off until all construction has been completed. Great prices and nice scenery. One problem was that probably due to construction the ants were out in force. Once completed it will be one of the nicest parks on the north side of the lake.......ituated on 47-acres, directly on the shores of Lake Livingston, the second largest lake in Texas. With a full one-half mile of shoreline, Lakeside's guests are amazed to find such serenity and natural beauty surrounding the lake.

Carmona Lake

I'm not sure there is a public Carmona Lake. Years ago there was a private lake in the approximate location shown on the map, but the old access road is now closed. There is no marina on the lake to my knowledge. Can anyone give specific directions to ''Carmona Lake''? Any additional info would be appreciated. Thanks, Lee Mathews... |
