A pleasant nearby hotel is La Quinta Inn and Suites Waxahachie, and camping at Camp Hoblitzelle is always a great experience. This lake is so wonderful. On a magnificent day at Lake Waxahachie you can take a hike along the Waxahachie Trail; after a long day outdoors Sleep Inn & Suites       is a nice spot to spend a night or two. Very glorious water scenery is available at South Prong Dam near Lake Waxahachie, and if you're here, you could take a look at South Prong Creek. Lake Waxahachie is a good place of normal precipitation; the month with most of the rain is May, and the driest month of the year is January. Throughout the summertime, highs generally are in the 90's at Lake Waxahachie, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 70's.                  High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 50's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Lake Waxahachie temperatures descend to the 30's. So many exciting things close to Lake Waxahachie, clearly phenomenal. Paddling on Ten Mile Creek is so much fun, and if you came to camp Hi Ho Camp Ground Of Dallas is a great place to do that. The Tonkawa Trail is a great hiking trail close to Lake Waxahachie. Lakes? Sure, Lake Clopton is in the neighborhood. This lake is so wonderful.
