From a precipitation point of view Lake Reed is a pretty common location; the month with most of the rain is May while December is mostly the driest month. Barker Branch is a delightful stream that is worth taking a look at, and going for a hike on the Cleburne State Park Trail is always a good adventure. So many cool things to do here at Lake Reed, too pleasant to be true. Near Lake Reed you hit upon the Dinosaur       Valley State Park Trail which is a glorious hiking trail, and you could always discover Wildcat Hollow. Get wet paddling on North Bosque River, and Oakdale Park is a pleasant local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is brilliant on Paluxy River, and if you came for an overnight stay Oakdale Camp N Fish is a good spot to camp. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Lake Reed, you'll come across Squaw Creek Reservoir which is a scenic lake, and at Lake Reed you always meet someone from Granbury. Summertime highs at Lake Reed ordinarily tend to be in the 90's while nighttime lows are commonly in the 70's.
