Go to Lake Polk if you want to go to a nice lake. A common amount of rain falls here at Lake Polk; the wettest month of the year is usually May, that's the one that rains the most while July is frequently the driest month. And that's not all you can do here at Lake Polk. Go for a hike on the Miller Springs Nature Center Trail, and La Quinta Inn Temple is a magnificent location to get some rest. During your trip to Lake Polk you'll meet some folks from Killeen-Temple-Fort Hood for sure. Lake Polk is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Belton / Temple / Killeen KOA is a tremendous local campground, and good hiking is available along the Mother Neff State Park Trail. the 70's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 50's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Lake Polk.
This lake is so wonderful. Country Club Dam is not far at all from Lake Polk, and Sammons Park Golf Course
is a wonderful golf course close by. Don't leave Lake Polk without first going for a hike along the Chalk Ridge Falls Park Trail, and if you came to camp Temple RV Park and RV Sales is a great location to do that.
