     Baymont Inn & Suites Tyler is a nice place to get some rest; there's whitewater on Neches River for all you adrenaline kick people. Summer at Lake Placid arrives with high temperatures in the 90's. Summer nighttime lows plunge down to the 70's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 50's; nighttime lows at Lake Placid during the wintertime ordinarily plunge into the 30's. Lake Placid gets a normal amount of annual precipitation; through the month of  
   May you get the most rain around here, and the driest month of the year is August. A lake close by is Club Thirteen Lake.
Lots of people from Tyler come to Lake Placid, and if you're interested in hydro structures, you can have a look at Lake Placid Dam. Lake Placid is not the only place close by, Tom Clay Lake is a close by lake, and if you came to camp Noonday RV Park is a nice location to do that. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining
 
               stuff at Lake Placid. Don't forget to take a pleasant little visit to Taylor Creek, and the Tyler State Park Trail offers hiking at its best.
This lake is so wonderful. A brilliant close by hotel is Windsor Inn and Suites, and camping at Aok South RV Park is always a magnificent experience.

...e water. One area in particular you will need to tie some line off to your kayak and let it float under a downed tree, you crawl over the tree and then get back in. I'm sure the when and where the trees are down changes quite often.... And it looks like someone (probably the river authority) takes a saw down and cuts some of this out from time to time.

The put in location is correct. However, the take out is not. You need to float further down to the 175 bridge (less than 1/4th mile) and get out there.

I would suggest that experienced paddlers attempt this only when the water is high from heavy rains or when the dam is letting a lot of water out. There's vegetative litter stuck in the trees 10 foot above the water line.... So at some points of the year... This thing moves... And could represent dangers with the amount of timber.

You might consider taking a machete on this trip just in case. Don't forget the fishing pole, or if you are an archer, a bow for the huge gar and buffalo. There's plenty of fishin to do .
