Duke Lake is a brilliant lake near Lake Number 3. There's so much to do here at Lake Number 3 that you need to camp here for a while, Lake Livingston State Park is a great place for that. Summer brings highs in the 90's to Lake Number 3, and the overnight is a bit chillier of course, commonly in the 70's. For the duration of the winter highs are mostly in the 50's with temperatures at Lake Number       3 dipping down into the 30's during winter nights. There are other places here than Lake Number 3, for example Lake Number 4, and a splendid nearby hotel is Lake Livingston Inn. If you're here at Lake Number 3, you could go to Big Thicket Menard Creek; if you need a site to stay Super 8 Livingston is a great choice. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Lake Number 3; Big Thicket - Big Sandy Trail is a glorious local trail, and                  why not take a refreshing hike along the Big Thicket - Woodlands Trail.
