Holiday Inn Express CARTHAGE is a fine location to get some rest; let's not forget Caney Creek which is a stream that you may encounter while you're here. So much enjoyable stuff to do at Lake Murvaul, so little time. If the weather is wonderful       here at Lake Murvaul, you can go for a hike along the Martin Creek Lake State Park Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Inn Of Carthage. This lake is so wonderful. You don’t have to go far from Lake Murvaul to make out the water at Murvaul Bayou Dam, and since you're here you should go to Dudley Williams Point. Lake Murvaul is a reasonably wet place mostly with lots of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is May, and the driest of the months                  is August. Summer brings highs in the 90's to Lake Murvaul with nighttime lows in the 70's. Throughout the wintertime highs are regularly in the 50's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Lake Murvaul descend into the 30's.
