Do have a look at Fort Parker State Park Lake in close proximity to Lake Mexia, it's a pretty lake; camping is available at Confederate Reunion Grounds. This lake is so wonderful. A striking lake like Joe Echols Lake Number 2 in the vicinity of Lake Mexia is a great place to stop at, and getting to Cedar Creek from Lake Mexia is uncomplicated. During your tour to Lake Mexia you'll meet some people from Corsicana for sure, and a short tour to Comanche Spring is always worthwhile. | |

mostly in the 70's. All through the winter the highs are typically in the 50's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Lake Mexia temperatures sink to the 30's. Very great water scenery is available at Bistone Dam close to Lake Mexia.
