Holiday Inn Express PALESTINE is a fine site to get some rest, and float down the rapids of Neches River in a kayak. If you need a location to stay Quality Inn & Suites is a wonderful choice, and Horseshoe Lake is a nice lake close by. This lake is so       wonderful. This place, Lake Dogwood, it absolutely has so much outdoors cool stuff. There is a great hiking trail in the neighborhood of Lake Dogwood called the Nature Trail, and the scenery at Lake Dogwood Dam is charming. This lake is so wonderful. There are other sites here than Lake Dogwood, for example W A Smith Lake Number 1. There's so much to do here at Lake Dogwood that you need to camp here for a while, R Place RV Park and Campgrounds is a great                  site for that. You get a brilliant sight of Daly Mountain from Lake Dogwood, and the smiling people of Palestine like to hang out nearby. The yearly rain here at Lake Dogwood is about average; the month with most of the rain is May; the driest month of the year is July. Summertime highs at Lake Dogwood generally tend to be in the 90's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 70's.
