While you're here at Lake Brazos you will meet lots of folks from nearby Waco; going for a hike on the Cameron Park Hike and Bike Trail is always a good adventure. A splendid nearby hotel is Victorian Inns Waco, and why not camp at Lone Star Motel while you're here at Lake Brazos. You don’t have to go far from Lake Brazos to distinguish the water at Lake Brazos Dam, and paddling on Hog Creek       is so much fun. A typical amount of precipitation falls here at Lake Brazos; the month with most of the rain is May; January on the other hand is the driest. At Lake Brazos through the days of summer highs are in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 70's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 50's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Lake Brazos temperatures dip to the 30's. This is no location for people who                  don’t like to have a good time. Camping is available at Riverview Campground, and if you need a place to stay Best Western Old Main Lodge is a good choice. This lake is so wonderful.
