This is no place for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Getting to Cottonwood Creek from Lake Arlington is painless, and drift down the rapids of Johnson Creek in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful. A round of golf at nearby Meadowbrook Golf Course is a great way to kill some time. Dry warm beds await you at Arlington-Days Inn, and there is a good hiking trail nearby called the Loyd       Park Trail. Going for a hike on the Mountain Creek Lake Park Trail is always a brilliant adventure; Forest Hill/Fort Worth Area is a nice site to get some rest. At Arlington Dam next to Lake Arlington there are some out of the ordinary things to see, and a glorious site to camp here at Lake Arlington is Lakeview Mobile Home Cmnty. From a rainfall point of view Lake Arlington is a reasonably common location; of all the months in a year May is the one with                  the most rain, and January is when it's the driest. If you come at the right time of year, Trinity River - Clear Fork offers some perfect whitewater, and at Lake Arlington you always meet someone from Dallas -Fort Worth-Arlington. This lake is so wonderful. The Village Creek Historical Area Trail is a good hiking trail close to Lake Arlington; camping is available at Arlington Forest Acres Park. At Lake Arlington through the summertime highs are in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 70's.
