The Terlingua Trail offers hiking at its best; camping is available at Big Bend Motor Inn. If only every place had this much outdoors enjoyable stuff, what a great globe it would be. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Terlingua Creek. During the summertime at Lake Ament temperatures are usually in the 100's with overnight lows in the 70's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 60's, and overnight lows       in the 30's for Lake Ament. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at El Dorado Hotel, and if you came for an overnight stay B J RV Park is a good site to camp. It is very waterless here at Lake Ament mostly; the wettest month of the year is usually September, that's the one that rains the most, and March on the other hand is the driest. After a long day outdoors Long Horn Ranch Motel is a tremendous place to spend a night or two; do take a hike on                  the Burro Mesa Spring Trail.
