The amount of precipitation that falls at Knox Lake is close to the national average; all through May this area sees the most rain; the driest month is August. A lake close by is Smith Lake, and there are good spots to discover along the Lake Somerville Trailway. At Knox Lake through       the summertime months highs are in the 90's. There's so much to do here at Knox Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Sonny's RV Park is a pleasant place for that, and Copperas                  Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth checking out.
