Near Knapp Lake you locate a golf course called Iron Horse Golf Course, and after a long day outdoors Comfort Suites North is a great site to spend a night or two. At Knapp Lake you always meet someone from Dallas -Fort Worth-Arlington. You could also go to Western Company Training Lagoon if you're here at Knapp Lake; it's close by, and you can stay the night       at Lakeview Mobile Home Cmnty. Go for a hike on the Knob Hills Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Trinity River - West Fork. All the outdoors exciting things right next door to Knapp Lake will keep you coming back many times. Knapp Lake Dam is not far at all from Knapp Lake, and going for a hike on the Village Creek Historical Area Trail is always a fine adventure. Summertime at Knapp Lake comes with                  high temperatures in the 90's while overnight lows are typically in the 70's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 50's with temperatures at Knapp Lake dipping down into the 20's through winter nights. Dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel - North Fort Worth, and as expected Whites Branch flows through this area. This lake is so wonderful. There are great locations to discover along the Walnut Grove Trail; Knapp Lake is not the only place close by, Meadows Lakes East Lake is a close by lake. From a rainfall point of view Knapp Lake is a quite normal place; the month with most of the rain is May; the driest month of the year is January.
