While you're here at Johnson Lake you will meet lots of folks from close by Jacksonville, and obviously Anadarko Creek flows through this area. Through the warm months at Johnson Lake temperatures are mostly in the 90's, and the night is fairly colder of course, commonly in the 70's. During the winter the highs are usually in the 50's; night lows during the winter for Johnson Lake tend to be in the 30's. Cool Springs is a striking       site to check out while you're at Johnson Lake, and a lake nearby is Black Lake. Go for a hike on the Jim Hogg State Historical Park Trail, and after a long day outdoors Applejacks is a glorious site to spend a night or two. Johnson Lake gets a large amount of water; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain, and August is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful.
