Now, you may think that's heaps but there's even more fun stuff to do here at Johnson Lake. It's a splendid idea to check out Carter Branch, it's near Johnson Lake, and Johnson Lake is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Windmill Acres RV Park is a fine local campground. Johnson Lake gets a normal amount of rain; May is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is December.       A good close by hotel is The Cliffs Resort; from Johnson Lake you obtain a brilliant view of Whit Mountain. There are plenty of people from Mineral Wells here at Johnson Lake, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by nearby James Lake. This lake is so wonderful.
