For the period of the warmest time of the year, highs frequently are in the 90's at Johnson Lake. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's usually in the 70's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 60's while Johnson Lake overnight low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the 40's. Sea Rim State Park is a fine campground here. This lake is so wonderful. Cajun Cottages Bed & Breakfast is a       perfect place to get some rest, and you can stay the night at Lazy L Campgrounds. A magnificent close by hotel is Sabine Pass Motel; there is a nice hiking trail close by called the Tyrell Park Trail. Johnson Lake usually gets a good deal of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is September while March is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
