If you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Medina River; why not take a refreshing hike along the Hill Country State Natural Area Trail. If you need a site to stay Inn of the Hills Resort and Conference Center is a delightful choice, and Horse Creek is in the neighborhood of Johnson Lake and is always a pleasure

local trail. Johnson Lake in fact is in the middle of a pretty outdoors paradise. If you came for an overnight stay Las Aves is a splendid spot to camp; there are plenty of folks from Kerrville here. Sabinal is a wonderful whitewater
spot close to Johnson Lake; why not camp at Koyote Ranch while you're here at Johnson Lake.
This lake is so wonderful. Johnson Lake gets a common amount of rain; the wettest month of the year is commonly May, that's the one that
rains the most; December on the other hand is the driest. Do check out Johnson Lake Dam while you're here at Johnson Lake; perfect hiking is available along the Lost Maples State Natural Area Trails.
