Paddling on Ten Mile Creek is so much fun. This lake is so wonderful. Johnson Creek has a fine whitewater paddling spot nearby, and there is a good hiking trail close by called the Cedar Hill State Park Trail. This lake is so wonderful. On a tremendous day       at Joe Pool Lake you can take a hike along the Mountain Creek Lake Park Trail, and for you golfers we recommend close by Grand Prairie Municipal Golf Course. Cedar Hill State Park is a great campground nearby, and if you're interested in cool geologic characteristics try Cedar Bluff. Through the months of summer, highs commonly are in the 90's at Joe Pool Lake, and through the night it cools down to the 70's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 50's;                  overnight lows in the 20's for Joe Pool Lake. Going for a hike on the Loyd Park Trail is always a delightful adventure; this is a popular location for people from Dallas -Fort Worth-Arlington.
