After a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites MEXIA is a tremendous location to spend a night or two. For the period of the warm months highs here at Jim Wright Lake get into the 90's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 70's. Highs during the winter are mostly in the 50's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Jim Wright Lake temperatures drop to the 30's. Jim Wright       Lake is a good site to visit for more than one day, Running Branch Marina and Campground is a good site to camp nearby, and Best Western Limestone Inn & Suites is a glorious location to get some rest. Jim Wright Lake is a good spot of normal precipitation; most of the rain falls during May, and July is when it's the driest. A good location to check out near Jim Wright Lake is Grassy Hollow; since you're here you can take a hike along the Fort Parker State                  Park Hiking Trail. This lake is so wonderful.
