Colorado River is a magnificent whitewater spot right next door to Inks Lake, and going for a hike along the Longhorn Cavern State Park Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. Inks Lake is a good location of common precipitation; May is the wettest month with most rain while January is mostly the driest month. All through the summer at Inks Lake highs are regularly       in the 90's. Through the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 70's. During the winter highs are in the 50's, and overnight lows through the wintertime for Inks Lake tend to be in the 30's. If you want a glorious time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Inks Lake. After a long day outdoors Canyon Of The Eagles Lodge & Nature Center is a great spot to spend a night or two, and if you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater                  paddling on Sandy Creek. This lake is so wonderful. A pleasant place like Hoovers Valley here at Inks Lake is too perfect to miss. There's always Roy Inks Dam to stop by right next door to Inks Lake; a round of golf at nearby Ink's Lake Golf Course is a great way to kill some time. If you came to camp Heart Of Texas Lake Resort is a pleasant location to do that, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Clear Creek. Camping at Big Chief RV Resort is always a glorious experience, and if the weather is glorious, you can go for a hike along the Cedar Point Recreation Area Trail.
