Hiking is a popular thing to do around Horse Camp Waterhole; Walter Buck Wildlife Management Area Trail is a glorious local trail, and float down the rapids of Llano River - South Fork in a kayak. Summertime highs at Horse Camp Waterhole mostly tend to be in the 90's. Through the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 50's; night  
   lows at Horse Camp Waterhole through the winter mostly drop into the 30's. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Hackberry Creek - Nueces River; a lake nearby is Blue Hole on the Llano.
It is very dried up here at Horse Camp Waterhole generally; the month with most of the rain is May, and January meanwhile is the driest month. If you want a great time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Horse Camp Waterhole. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Garner
 
               State Park is always a good experience, and dry warm beds await you at Junction - Days Inn.
