    Go to Holloway Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. Don't leave Holloway Lake without first going for a hike along the Old Tram Hiking Trail, and you don’t have to go far from Holloway Lake to spot the water at Holloway Lake Dam. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Neches Bluff Trail, and you'll meet a lot of people from Jacksonville here.

   serene sites, why not stop by Grassy Pond near Holloway Lake; why not camp at Neches Bluff Campground if you're here at Holloway Lake. If you need a place to stay Econo Lodge Nacogdoches is a glorious choice; a brilliant site to camp here at Holloway Lake is Mouth of Hickory Creek Campground. Holloway Lake gets a lot of water; most of the rain falls throughout May; August is the month with the least moisture.
All through the summertime, highs regularly are
 
               in the 90's at Holloway Lake with overnight lows in the 70's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 50's with temperatures at Holloway Lake dipping down into the 30's through winter nights. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Holloway Lake; Ratcliff Lake Trail is a wonderful local trail; a picturesque lake like Upper Lake is a good location to visit.

Just hiked the 20 mile trail north to south yesterday. Nice terrain, but the trail is in horrible shape. It looks like there has been no maintenence this year. In some parts, brush covering the trail was higher than my head....The Four C's is a beautiful trail, representative of the pinewoods area. Be familiar with landmarks as they can be very tricky....
