It's a great idea to explore Cooks Slough, it's near Hoag Lake, and not far from Hoag Lake you obtain some brilliant water scenery at Hoag Dam. This is a perfect region for folks who like lakes. Peterson Lake is a lake close at hand, and a wonderful nearby hotel is Quality Inn Uvalde. All through the warm months at Hoag Lake highs are generally in the 90's.                  Summer nighttime lows descend down to the 70's.
