While you're here at Henry Lake you can take a hike along the Nature Trail, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Executive Inn is a tremendous site to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Henry Lake gets a normal amount of yearly rain; throughout May this area sees the most rain, and the driest month is July. This lake is so wonderful. Castle on the Lake Inn and RV Resort is a pleasant local campground, and a great nearby hotel is Holiday Inn Express JACKSONVILLE. You'll locate a beautiful lake called Pine Lake near Henry Lake, and Cary Lake Mountain is clearly visible from Henry Lake. It's a magnificent idea to stop by Boggy Creek, it's near Henry Lake; there's whitewater on Neches River for all you adrenaline rush seekers.

just no way someone can get bored here at Henry Lake. A pretty lake like Cary Lake near Henry Lake is a delightful site to check out, and if you came for an overnight stay Big Steve's RV Park is a good location to camp. Summertime
highs at Henry Lake frequently tend to be in the 90's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 70's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 50's, and after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Henry Lake drop into the 30's.

... will need to tie some line off to your kayak and let it float under a downed tree, you crawl over the tree and then get back in. I'm sure the when and where the trees are down changes quite often.... And it looks like someone (probably the river authority) takes a saw down and cuts some of this out from time to time.
The put in location is correct. However, the take out is not. You need to float further down to the 175 bridge (less than 1/4th mile) and get out there.
I would suggest that experienced paddlers attempt this only when the water is high from heavy rains or when the dam is letting a lot of water out. There's vegetative litter stuck in the trees 10 foot above the water line.... So at some points of the year... This thing moves... And could represent dangers with the amount of timber.
You might consider taking a machete on this trip just in case. Don't forget the fishing pole, or if you are an archer, a bow for the huge gar and buffalo. There's plenty of fishin to do .
