Hejl Lake is a good location of typical precipitation; the month with most of the rain is May, and the driest month is July. That right there is lots already, but it keeps on going; Hejl Lake has it all. Hejl Lake Dam is worth a visit while you're here, and if you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater       paddling on Salado Creek. Hejl Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Davila RV Park is a great local campground. Lakes are such peaceful sites, why not stop by Railroad Reservoir close to Hejl Lake, and after a long day outdoors Super 8 Salado is a nice place to spend a night or two. San Gabriel River has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby; going for a hike along the Chalk Ridge Falls Park Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of                  this neighborhood. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Granger Lake - Taylor Park Trail is delightful fun; a good close by hotel is Best Western Taylor Inn. At Hejl Lake through the warmest time of the year highs are in the 90's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 70's.
