Summertime brings highs in the 90's to Heart Lake, and during the night it cools down to the 70's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 50's; after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Heart Lake sink into the 30's. If you like swamps, you're in luck, Deep Slough is right nearby, and a picturesque       lake like Bear Mans Lake is a glorious site to go to. If you need a site to stay La Quinta Inn & Suites Lumberton is a delightful choice, and the sights at Big Thicket National Preserve will blow your mind. This lake is so wonderful. Black Creek flows through this vicinity, and you must certainly check out Bear Mans Bluff during your stay. Having a glorious time at Heart Lake is painless. Dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Kountze Big Thicket Natl Pres Area, and                  you'll find a delightful lake called Shade Lake. Near Heart Lake you discover the Roy E Larsen Sandyland Sanctuary Trail which is a nice hiking trail; if you came for an overnight stay Village Creek State Park is a perfect place to camp. Heart Lake typically gets a large amount of rainfall; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is August. This lake is so wonderful.
