A brilliant location to camp here at Head Lake is Cedar Ridge Mobile Home Park, and if the weather is tremendous, you can go for a hike along the Mountain Creek Lake Park Trail. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can go to Head Lake Dam, and Head Lake is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Knollridge Mobile Home Park is a delightful local campground. Just can't get enough of Head Lake.       There's whitewater on Waxahachie Creek - South Prong for all you adrenaline people, and if you need a location to stay Super 8 Hutchins TX is a great choice. A golf course next to Head Lake is Old Brickyard Golf Club; a charming lake like Mooreland Lake is a nice spot to go to. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Ten Mile Creek; a fine nearby hotel is Ramada Limited. Head Lake gets a                  common amount of precipitation; during May this area sees the most rain; the driest month of the year is January. This lake is so wonderful. Do go to Cedar Valley College Lake right next door to Head Lake, it's a lovely lake, and hiking along the Waxahachie Trail is delightful fun. Summer brings highs in the 90's to Head Lake while overnight lows are regularly in the 70's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are usually in the 50's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Head Lake descend into the 30's.
