Hay Lake gets very little precipitation; June is when you get the most rain here, and January on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. For the duration of the summertime months highs here at Hay Lake get into the 90's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's, and night lows in the 20's       for Hay Lake. If you need a place to stay Floydada Inn is a good choice, and hiking along the Caprock Canyons State Park and Trailway is brilliant fun.
