Harvey Lake is a lake nearby; you can have a good hiking adventure along the Rocky Point Park Trail. During the summertime highs here at Harvey Lake get into the 90's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 50's, and overnight lows at Harvey Lake through the winter mostly fall into the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Atlanta       State Park Trail is great fun; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always take a look at nearby Hall Lake Number 1. All the water falling down from the sky makes Harvey Lake a wet spot; throughout the month of April you get the most rain around here while August is typically the driest month. Harvey Lake Dam is picturesque and it's close to Harvey Lake. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Harvey Lake has to offer, you can camp                  at Atlanta State Park. That right there is lots already, but it continues; Harvey Lake has it all. Best Western Pineywoods Inn is a great site to get some rest, and if you're visiting from Texarkana, you won't be the only one.
