Harrison Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Camp Live Oak is a great local campground; Harrison Lake Dam is an exciting thing to check out. There are fine locations to explore along the Lost Maples State Natural Area Trails; a nice site is Friday Hollow. This lake is so wonderful. A lake close by is Post Oak Waterhole. If only every place had this much outdoors       cool things, what a great world it would be. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Sabinal, and going for a hike on the Garner State Park Trail is always a perfect adventure. There are plenty of people from Uvalde here at Harrison Lake, and let's not forget Deep Creek which is a stream that you may encounter while here. If you get bored of Harrison Lake, you could also check out close by Big Lake. There's so much to do                  here at Harrison Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Frio Falls Retreat is a great place for that. If you come at the right time of year, Frio River offers some wonderful whitewater, and dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites UVALDE.
