     Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at nearby Eldorado Lake, and you can have a perfect hiking adventure along the Eagles Nest Trail. A splendid nearby hotel is La Quinta Inn San Antonio I35 N at Toepperwein, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Wilderness Trail. This lake is so wonderful. On a tremendous day at Harmark Lake you can take a hike along the Malabang Trail. Through the days of summer, highs usually  
   are in the 90's at Harmark Lake; the nighttime is a little colder of course, frequently in the 60's. Highs throughout the wintertime are usually in the 50's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Harmark Lake temperatures fall to the 30's.
There's whitewater on Comal River for all you adrenaline junkies, and do have a look at Harmark Lake Dam while you're here. This lake is so wonderful. This is a fine neighborhood for folks who like lakes. Crea
 
               Brothers Lake is a lake in the neighborhood. There's so much to do here at Harmark Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Abc RV and Mobile Home Park is a perfect site for that. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing things at Harmark Lake. Stay the night at Green Tree Village North Park; at Harmark Lake you always meet someone from San Antonio.
If you need a site to stay ValuePlace SanAntonio-Live Oak is a brilliant choice; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Cibolo Creek. Harmark Lake is a good location of normal precipitation; the month with most of the rain is June, and the driest of the months is December.

This is a fun river to kayak.  Although some parts are very slow open water, there are usually plenty of tubers to keep it interesting.  Me and mine really love this ride.  The best put in is somewhere around the first crossing right above huaco springs rapids.  From there, your next take out is Gruene.  We get out at Gruene but the Parks and Wildlife website list the next public take out a little further downstream but remember when you enter New Braunfels you have to follow their laws such as the limit on the size of the ice chest you can have with you. There are four solid rapids on this run.  You need to be sure the water is flowing.  During the summer, this is sometimes the only river flowing to assure the survival of the rainbow trout....
