If you need a place to stay Best Western Executive Inn is a tremendous choice, and you'll probably meet some folks from Jacksonville here. Why not camp at Mouth of Hickory Creek Campground while you're here at Hargrove Lake; the Neches Bluff Trail is a perfect hiking trail nearby. Allen Branch is a glorious local stream; Forman Lake is a nearby lake that you could       stop at. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 90's to Hargrove Lake, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 70's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 50's, and overnight lows throughout the winter for Hargrove Lake tend to be in the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. You can take a little trip to Duren Lake Dam while you're here at Hargrove Lake, and close by you hit upon the Old Tram Hiking Trail which is a perfect                  hiking trail. Camping is available at Neches Bluff Campground, and going for a hike on the Mission Tejas State Park Trail is always a good adventure.
