You'll locate a pretty lake called Caldwell Lake near Hammond Lake, and camping at Ray Roberts State Park is always a great experience. This lake is so wonderful. People from Sherman-Denison love to come to Hammond Lake, and the Elm Fork Greenbelt Trail is a fine hiking trail close by. From a rainfall point of view Hammond Lake is a rather normal spot; May is the month that gets the most rain, and January meanwhile is the       driest month. While you're here at Hammond Lake, you could also go to pretty B and L Ranch Lake; there's some flowing water nearby, Jordan Creek is a stream you can have a look at during your stay. Hammond Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Sunshine Farms RV Park is a good local campground, and close by you locate the Ray Roberts Greenbelt Corridor Trail which is a good hiking trail.
