Go to Gregory Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. Gregory Lake is typically a reasonably waterless site; August is when you get the most rain here; the driest of the months is January. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Tysons Lake Cabins and RV Park, and Colorado City-Days Inn is a great site to get some rest.
For the duration of the months of summer, highs mostly are in the 90's at Gregory Lake. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 60's.

| | Through the winter highs are in the 50's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Gregory Lake. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Gregory Lake; Lake Colorado City State Park Trail is a brilliant local trail, and there's always Gregory Lake Dam to go to in the vicinity of Gregory Lake. After a long day outdoors Baymont Inn And Suites Snyder is a good location to spend a night or two, and Lake Colorado City State Park is a glorious campground nearby.
