This lake is so wonderful. Big Thicket National Preserve is a tremendous place in the vicinity of Gore Lake, and not far from Gore Lake you'll hit upon Shade Lake which is a wonderful lake. This lake is so wonderful. There are other locations here than Gore Lake, for example Smith Lake, and       La Quinta Inn & Suites Lumberton is a brilliant place to get some rest. Gore Lake typically gets lots of rain; the wettest month of the year is frequently May, that's the one that rains the most, and August is the month with the least moisture. Stay the night at Red Cloud Recreational Vehicle Park; do stop at Little Black Creek if you're here at Gore Lake. If the weather is pleasant here at Gore Lake, you can go for a hike along the Big Thicket - Kirby Nature                  Trail; don't miss out on a great swamp; Deep Slough is right here at Gore Lake. You absolutely have to adore Gore Lake. Gore Lake is not far at all from Beaumont-Port Arthur, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Roy E Larsen Sandyland Sanctuary Trail. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Gore Lake has to offer, you can camp at Village Creek State Park, and the Big Thicket - Turkey Creek Trail is a perfect hiking trail close by. Summertime highs at Gore Lake frequently tend to be in the 90's, and the overnight is rather colder of course, generally in the 70's.
