    Gillis West Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. All through the summer months at Gillis West Lake highs are mostly in the 90's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 70's. Throughout the winter highs are regularly in the 60's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Gillis West Lake. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Gillis West Lake has to offer, you can camp at Rough Canyon Marina, and  
   Miguel Waterhole is a delightful lake close by. Get soaked paddling on Devils River, and there are other sites here than Gillis West Lake, for example Gillis East Lake.
Near Gillis West Lake you come across the Seminole Canyon State Park Trail which is a brilliant hiking trail, and if you need a spot to stay Del Rio Inn & Suites is a good choice. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Gillis West Lake that you need to camp here for a while,
 
               Broke Mill RV Park is a splendid place for that, and people from Del Rio love to come here. I can't stop, cause I'm havin' a good time here at Gillis West Lake. Not far from Gillis West Lake you acquire some fine water scenery at Gillis West Lake Dam.
Gillis West Lake gets very little rain; the month with most of the rain is September, and the driest month is January.
