    Beautiful Gillis East Lake has much to offer visitors. Del Rio Inn & Suites is a brilliant site to get some rest, and there is a fine hiking trail close by called the Seminole Canyon State Park Trail. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Comfort Inn & Suites is a good spot to spend a night or two, and Rough Canyon Marina is a great campground nearby.
Gillis East Lake is a place with many visitors from Del Rio, and since you might be in a lake
 
   visiting mood you can always stop by nearby Gillis West Lake. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing stuff at Gillis East Lake. Whitewater paddling is pleasant on Devils River; at Gillis East Lake Dam close to Gillis East Lake there are some attention-grabbing things to see. At Gillis East Lake you don’t see much rainfall; September is when you get the most rain here; January on the other hand is the driest.
