From a rain point of view Gallant Lake is a quite normal location; of all       the months in a year May is the one with the most rain; the driest of the months is December. This lake is so wonderful. Las Aves is a great campground nearby; in the event that you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Verde Creek.
