Frog Lake is pretty dry typically; June is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month is January. After a long day outdoors Buffalo Inn is a great place to spend a night or two. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Frog Lake has to offer, you can camp at Longhorn Trailer Inn and RV. For the period of the months of summer, highs mostly are in the 90's at Frog Lake. When the night sets       in temperatures plunge down into the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 50's while Frog Lake nighttime low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. There's always Frog Dam to explore close to Frog Lake, and a round of golf at nearby Palo DURO Creek Golf Club is a great way to kill some time. And if that's not sufficient, there's lots more to do next to Frog Lake. Hiking along the Palo Duro Canyon State Park Trail                  is pleasant fun. Take a hike on the Buffalo Lake National Wildlife Refuge Trail, and you'll meet a lot of people from Amarillo here.
