The top of High Point is easily seen from Foster Lake, and Colovista Country Club is a tremendous golf course close by. Foster Lake gets a normal amount of annual rainfall; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain while January is regularly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful.       Foster Lake is a delightful place to visit for more than one day, Bastrop River RV Park is a delightful place to camp nearby, and going for a hike on the Southern Loop Trail is always a great adventure. During the warm months, highs mostly are in the 90's at Foster Lake while overnight lows are commonly in the 70's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 50's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Foster Lake. This lake is so wonderful. The Lost                  Pines Trail is a tremendous hiking trail right next door to Foster Lake, and a magnificent close by hotel is Comfort Inn Bastrop. Near Foster Lake you stumble on the Buescher State Park Hiking Trail which is a great hiking trail, and you'll come across a lovely lake called Lazy S Ranch Lake. But wait, there's more to do in the vicinity of Foster Lake.
