During the months of summer highs here at Field Lake get into the 90's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 70's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 50's; nighttime lows at Field Lake during the wintertime typically drop into the 30's. The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Gum Spring; let's not forget Red Branch       which is a stream that you may run into while you're here. There are other sites here than Field Lake, for example Mourn Lake; after a long day outdoors Americas Best Value Inn-Giddings is a nice location to spend a night or two. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this location. Field Lake Dam has nice water scenery and it's right next door to Field Lake. Field Lake gets a common amount of annual rainfall; most of the rain falls all through May, and the                  driest of the months is August. This lake is so wonderful.
