Fence Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Sea Rim State Park is a great local campground, and if you need a spot to stay Sabine Pass Motel is a wonderful choice. A lake close by is Little Fence Lake, and Salt Bayou is one of the streams nearby that might be worth visiting. Now, you may believe that's a load but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do       here at Fence Lake. A fine close by hotel is Microtel Inn Port Arthur. If you're looking for a beach in the neighborhood of Fence Lake, we recommend MacFadden Beach, and camping at Lazy L Campgrounds is always a great experience. A nice beach in close proximity to Fence Lake is McFaddin Beach; if the weather is brilliant, you can go for a hike along the Sea Rim State Park Trail. High temperatures at Fence Lake during the days of summer are in the 90's; throughout                  summer nights temperatures are in the 70's. Throughout the winter the highs are generally in the 60's while Fence Lake night low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 40's.
