There are some good whitewater spots on Medina River, and Mexican Hollow is also a tremendous place to explore. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Guadalupe River; Verde Springs is an inspiring spot to take a look at while you're here. Falls Lake is a good location of normal rainfall; the month of May is       the wettest with most of the rain, and December is the month with the least moisture. Inn of the Hills Resort and Conference Center is a tremendous place to get some rest, and Falls Lake Dam is not far at all from Falls Lake. You assume that's enough? Just getting warmed up. There's so much to do here at Falls Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Kickapoo KAMP is a delightful site for that, and after a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Kerrville is a good                  location to spend a night or two. Getting to Hog Branch from Falls Lake is trouble-free, and there's great hiking along the Hill Country State Natural Area Trail. Summertime highs at Falls Lake frequently tend to be in the 90's. Summer nighttime lows fall down to the 60's. Highs during the winter are commonly in the 50's, and overnight lows in the 20's for Falls Lake.
