Going for a hike along the South Lakes Park Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and hey, Milam Creek is a tremendous local stream. The annual rainfall here at Evans Lake is about average; most of the rain falls during May, and the driest month of the year is January. Evans Lake is a wonderful spot to camp, Post Oak Place is a wonderful spot; for you golfers we       recommend close by Texas Woman's University Golf Course. And if that's not sufficient, there's plenty more to do in the neighborhood of Evans Lake. Camping at Evans Lake is glorious fun, Silver Dome Mobile Park is a glorious local campground; dry warm beds await you at Holiday Lodge. This lake is so wonderful. Evans Lake is a site with many visitors from Gainesville, and if you need a place to stay Clayton House Motel is a pleasant choice. All through the summer                  months, highs typically are in the 90's at Evans Lake with night lows in the 70's. Highs through the winter are usually in the 50's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Evans Lake. Have a splendid hiking adventure along the Ray Roberts Greenbelt Corridor Trail, and why not visit Evans Lake Dam if you're here. Get your heart beating on the tremendous whitewater of Denton Creek; do take a hike on the North Lakes Park Trail.
