But wait, there's more to do near Elm Waterhole. Near Elm Waterhole you stumble on a golf course called Canyon Springs Golf Club; don't leave Elm Waterhole without first going for a hike along the Eagles Nest Trail. Good hiking is available along the Malabang Trail, and you'll meet a lot of people from San Antonio here. This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Guadalupe River for all       you adrenaline junkies, and Elm Waterhole is a splendid place to camp, Texas 281 RV Park is a splendid place. During the long summer days at Elm Waterhole highs are generally in the 90's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 50's; overnight lows at Elm Waterhole during the winter commonly plunge into the 30's. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Cibolo Creek;                  there's fine hiking along the Wilderness Trail. If you need a site to stay Courtyard San Antonio North/Stone Oak at Legacy is a great choice; you can stay the night at Green Tree Village North Park. This lake is so wonderful. The annual rainfall here at Elm Waterhole is about average; the month of September is the wettest with most of the rain while January is frequently the driest month.
